- The Best Western Hotel is located just north of Highway #9 on the right hand side of Young St.
- Attendees can either come along Hwy #9 from the east or west, and turn north onto Young St.
- Or travel up Hwy #404 to Hwy #9 and then turn left and travel through Newmarket to Young St.
- Or travel up Hwy #400 to Hwy #9 and then turn right and travel through Newmarket to Young St.

We are very fortunate to have Hansi Heck-Melnyk from Serenity Arabian Stud in Florida as a guest speaker at this meeting. Hansi has been in Egyptian Arabians for over 35 years, has written books on the Egyptian horse and has bred and owned many champion horses over the years including the 1971 U.S. National Champion Mare "Serenity Sonbolah" and of course her beloved champion stallion "*Khofo++". She also gives clinics and lectures throughout the world. Besides giving us a talk of her experiences over the past years, she will also be showing a video tape of some horse shows in the 60's and some of the great Arabians of that time. She will also answer any questions you have of her and her horses and her career. If you can't make the meeting, we will be video taping it also and making it available to our members. If you have any questions you would like to ask, but are unable to attend, please call Heather or Glenn Pearson at 613-735-1831 or any of the executive and we will ask the questions for you.

4 pm a short meeting and election for 2002 executive
For those members wishing to stay for a meal, the restaurant next door, which caters for the Hotel, will be available for us to meet and have a meal and socialize.
Election
Due to the event of Sept. 11th, 2001 our meeting and elections were cancelled. Therefore, we plan to have the election at this meeting on April 27th. Each year we will be electing part of our executive. This year the positions of Vice-president, Secretary and Treasurer are to be voted on. Executive members are elected for a 2-year term. Any member wishing to run for any of these positions please be present and have your name ready for nomination. Even if someone holds one position on the executive, they can allow their name to stand for a different executive position if they wish. If they are successful, then their executive position would then have to be voted on for the one year. The next year that position would be voted on again to keep with the idea of changing half of the executive every year.

Another directory of members, their farms and their horses is planned this year. We are planning to have it ready to distribute at the Egyptian Event in Kentucky in June, as well as at Regionals and National Arabian shows this year. All ads must be camera ready, plus an original photo (colour or B/W) must accompany all ads if there is to be a picture in the ad. All ads must have accompanying payment. This directory is not only a great inexpensive way to advertise your horses, farm and breeding program, but helps the association to let everyone know that we are here and that we have great horses in this huge country of the Maple Leaf.
The Directory will be 5.5 by 8.5 inches of very high quality paper and cover. It will be a Black & White Directory. Call Heather Pearson if you have any questions.
Advertising Rates and Rules - must be camera ready and with original photo
- Cheques must accompany all ads.
- Members - Full page ads $75.00
- Non-members can advertise at a special offer of $120.00 per page - If you wish to join, the membership fee is $50.00 for the year 2002, and then it is only $75.00 per page
- Only Egyptian Arabians can be advertised
- Ads must NOT be folded and are to be sent to Heather Pearson before March 31st 2002 - if any questions or problems call Heather at 613-735-1831 right away.
-Other Commercial business ads (i.e. Grain Co., Insurance Co, Saddle Stores etc.) can place an ad for $100.
